About Us

 

Smart Family Services (SFS) was founded in 2014 by Dr. Crystall Sisco with a clear mission: to uplift and empower Maryland's at-risk teens through support, guidance, and resources. Crystall recently defended her dissertation proposal and graduated in Spring 2023 with a Doctorate in Community Care and Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. Not only does Crystall hold a Doctorate Degree in Education and Counseling, she also has a Master's in Social Work from Howard University, and a Bachelor's in Child and Adolescent Studies from Bowie State University. Crystall is a Licensed Social Worker in both Maryland and the District of Columbia, a licensed real estate agent, a notary, and, above all, a Christian.​

Over the years, SFS has grown and expanded, offering a wide range of services for children, adults, and families. Through community partnerships and networking, we've broadened our offerings to include everything from soothing smell goods, handmade soaps, and candles to housing support, recruitment services, online resources, and consulting. Our therapeutic soaps and candles on this website have been lovingly handcrafted by Crystall, Jamal, and Kennedi Sisco.
